Simrad SART - Search and Rescue Transponder

	Automatically triggered by the search vessel’s X-band radar, the SA50 emits 12 pulses that are picked up and clearly displayed as unique "blips" on the radar screen. This helps speed location and rescue when every minute counts—especially at night, in limited visibility conditions or during inclement weather. A SART should be used in conjunction with (rather than as a substitute for) an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon). The big advantage of Simrad’s SA50 is that it helps rescuers zero in and find a stranded mariner or life raft quickly once they arrive on scene.
Product Description	Measuring only 9.7" in height and 3.2" wide, the SA50 is ideal for use as a carry-off device or for pre-packing in life rafts. The SA50 can easily be set up to automatically activate upon life raft deployment. For ease of operation, the mandatory lanyard is neatly stowed in a spool at the base of the unit.
